Introducing: Nintendo Wii
At long last, Nintendo has finally done away with the cool code name “Revolution” and replaced it with the crappy actual product name, “Wii” (as in “we”). I’m not sure how much crack they had to get through in order to find this name to be adequate enough to represent their next-gen console, but they apparently do find it adequate.
Nintendo has replaced their standard product page for the Revolution with an announcement page with a fun little animation for introducing the chosen name. I’m truely wondering how many gamers will be turned off by this choice. I know that I will still buy one, but I might just keep calling it the Revolution. 
This would be a great time for them to release some awe-inspiring stuff regarding the new console at E3 to make up for the bad taste in everyone’s mouths.
