Between the Spaces

At last, Blizzard announced its plans, at Blizzcon, to release the first expansion for World of Wacraft: The Burning Crusade. Blizzard has yet to give a release date along with many other long-awaited details such as “will the expansion be open for public beta testing?” On the other hand, they have released many other very juicy details.

So far, the expansion is known to include a new Horde race, the Blood Elves who starts in a new zone called Quel’Thalas. The new Alliance race has yet to be disclosed. There is also one new profession (at least): Jewelcrafting. This will most likely be paired up with mining. My guess is that we will see a lot more veins whose focus is on distributing jewels. Another very important feature to be included is an entirely new continent, Outland. Other new features include a new level cap of 70, flying mounts and socketed items. (more…)
